A Linux distribution is vendor's customized version of Linux that is can be purchased on a CDROM or downloaded over the Internet.

Red Hat Linux	The most popular distribution of Linux.
Debian.org	Homepage of the Debian GNU/Linux distribution
SuSE.com	SuSE, "the Linux Experts", is the top-selling Linux distribution in Europe, known for stability, ease of use, and a wealth of included software.
Mandrake Linux	Mandrake Linux, adapted from the Red Hat distribution, is widely regarded as one of the easiest end-user distributions.
The Fedora Project	Community based project to create an operating system with free software.
Tom's Root-Boot	Floppy based mini-distro of Linux for system administration and recovery, and links to other mini-distros.
Knoppix	Knoppix is an adaptable, Debian based linux distribution with excellent hardware detection.
Ubuntu Linux	Another distro based on debian unstable with focus on user and usability
