I've never used Lynx before.  Never even heard of it.  But I'll look into it.  Although it's hard to imagine a console based text browser being cool.  Thanks.  Jeff

  I've used the combination of SWAT and Lynx before...  Lynx is a console based text browser that is pretty cool.  You can navigate fairly easily through SWAT....

    Sure - vi or any other text editor is fine although you'll probably want to start off with the default config file as SWAT etc tend to remove all the comments.

      Hello, does anyone know of a textmode configuration tool for samba.conf?  I have seen several gui ones but I don't have X installed.  Would it be just as easy to edit it with Vi?  I am not experienced with this.  Thanks for any help.  Jeff
