Cycas - nice, easy to setup and use, small download. Initial impression: 
not an AutoCad killer. Just not enough there.
Varkon - cludgey looking interface, using commands requires large mental 
leap, easy to setp and small download. It will take a while to evaluate 
this one. Doubful this is an AutoCad killer.
OpenCascade - 155mb download. Website looks promising. It will take a 
while to get this downloaded and setup. Setup may be tricky because of 
hardware and software requirements.
LInuxCad - costs $$
Qcad - 2d only
Varicad - 30 day trial, download would not install, wants OpenGL which I 
can't find.
