You do realize that people die from eating raw fugu? It is supposed to be
best when it doesn't kill you but just makes your mouth numb.
  



That is the exactly what makes it interesting to try!  Bah...  No risk 
takers in here!

A friend of mine went to Japan about a year ago for a LIGO trip.  One of 
the other LIGO people was Japanese and was showing Szabi around.  They 
went to a "traditional" sushi place and Szabi did not know what he was 
in for.  He didn't know what anything was on the table was, so he just 
started trying everything.  He noticed when he went to one particular 
item, all eyes were on him.  No one else was eating from it, and he just 
figured that it was "the expensive stuff" so he said hell I am only here 
once, might as well eat the best of it.  After he had eaten two thirds 
of it, his Japanese friend asked him if he was feeling alright.  Then he 
told him why.  So Szabi did the only rational thing he could do.... he 
ate the rest of it!  And yes he lived to tell me about it.
